History
Founded in 1973
Centro Accessori S.p.A. Società Benefit was founded in 1973 in Monte San Giusto, in the heart of the Marche footwear district, internationally recognized as one of the excellences of Made in Italy.
The founder, Mario Castricini, had a revolutionary vision for the time: to create a true “supermarket” for footwear accessories, able to offer a wide range of hard-to-find items immediately available for companies in the sector.
Growth and Expansion
The combination of an innovative vision and fast, specialized service allowed the company to grow steadily, leading to a move in 1988 to a larger facility with a team of about twenty collaborators.
In 1992, Centro Accessori took a decisive step towards internationalization by opening a state-of-the-art center in Poland, bringing together accessories, machinery, soles, and leathers in a single location, becoming a comprehensive reference point for footwear production.
Expansion
In 1994, to support the company’s continuous growth, a new 3,000 m² facility was built, designed to optimize logistics flows and expand operational capacity.
Two years later, the international development strategy continued with the opening of a warehouse in Felgueiras, Portugal, followed by a second branch in São João da Madeira, consolidating the group’s presence in the main European footwear districts.
Innovation
In 1999, the Teknochim Laboratory was established, specializing in the production of creams and leather finishes, developed to meet the technical and stylistic needs of the footwear sector.
Over the years, the laboratory has expanded its expertise by introducing physico-mechanical and chemical testing of materials, ACCREDIA® accredited, supporting the quality, safety, and compliance of the finished footwear.
Consolidation
In 2001, a new facility in Timișoara, Romania was inaugurated, followed by the opening of a branch in Bucharest, further strengthening the company’s international presence.
At the same time, to meet the growing logistical and distribution demands, the main facility was expanded to a covered area of 5,500 m², enhancing efficiency and operational capacity.
A Strategy
Centro Accessori’s international expansion strategy represents the natural evolution of a philosophy present from the very beginning: providing an efficient and reliable “just in time” service.
This approach goes beyond offering a wide assortment of products; it aims to ensure a physical presence in the main production districts, thereby reducing procurement costs and optimizing raw material management for clients.
Evolution
In 2012, the activity of the Teknochim Laboratory was further strengthened with the construction of a new facility adjacent to the main headquarters, reflecting the company’s ongoing investment in research and quality.
In 2021, Labmoda Srl was established, a spin-off dedicated to customized production for the footwear, leather goods, and apparel sectors, based in Sant’Elpidio a Mare.
Labmoda leverages over a decade of experience and transforms it into specialized expertise, capable of meeting the demands of an increasingly dynamic fashion market, focused on customization and sustainability.
